5 Amazing Things to Do in Greece

Greece seamlessly integrates majestic beauty with modern civilization coupled with exuberant culture. The country offers tourism services, among the best in the world. This is mainly because of his historical background, including some archaeological sites of great interest. Greece also has several picturesque islands that provide islands for traveling in the Aegean. Here are five amazing things that Greece has to offer, starting with my favorite one

1. Explore the Islands with a Yacht Charter in Greece.

Due to the majestic Greek islands, It is one of the most popular Greece yacht charter destinations. You can cruise the Cyclades or the Ionian Islands using a yacht charter. Yachts sail around the islands at your own pace, stopping whenever you want. You may also pamper yourself in the cosmopolitan hustle of Mykonos and Santorini.

Chartering a yacht allows you to visit a lot of unexposed islands. You can also swim in private coves, dine under the stars, and get glimpses of Greece’s golden beaches. The motor yacht or sailing boat does not matter as one of the two you choose will surely provide you with the time of your life.

2. Proceed to the Acropolis of Athens

Your journey across Greece would not be complete without the Parthenon??s stunning vistas. It lies on the Acropolis of Athens. The Ancient citadel still stands over the modern city and is one of the world’s wonders. There is so much history to it. You can walk through the remnants of the temples dedicated to the Greek deities and walk the same paths as Socrates and Plato instead of overlooking the city of Athens.

Just by the side, the Acropolis Museum also serves best in class as its artistic collection helps people understand the culture and life of Greek civilization in detail.

3. Learn about Meteora’s Cliffside Monasteries

Spiritual wonders combined with earthly marvels exist at Meteora, which is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the central parts of Greece. Centuries-old Monasteries are constructed at the peak of the Towering older stones that look as if they were made to float effortlessly. Built in great isolation and for protection, Almong has six such monasteries; there are six that are still open and welcome visitors.

Trekking through Eteora’s captivating picturesque region, I found it offers magnificent views and provides an inner respect towards the divinely spiritual tale of the place and nature.

4. Delve into what Greece has to offer gastronomically

Greece is a treasure trove of culinary delights. It includes grilled fresh seafood and delectable moussaka. Do not skip out on spanakopita, dolmades, and souvlaki, and wash it down with some baklava along ouzo or tsipouro.

Even more immersing would be visiting a vineyard or traditional olive oil presses. Moreover, taking part in classes that teach local recipes would be engaging.

5. Samaria Gorge Hike in Crete

The hike in Samaria Gorge is particularly admirable for the adventurous traveler. It is one of Europe’s longest gorges with remarkable natural features, 16 kilometers long, and towers over the Libyan Sea. The trek is richly studded with the harsh terrains of aged forests, ancient mountains, and wild goats, bestowing the view with their majestic presence.
