4 Amazing Locations for a Destination Wedding

Your wedding day is one of the most important in your life, so it’s natural for betrothed couples to want it to be perfect. There are many different ways you can choose to celebrate your nuptials, and while some are happy to stay closer to home, others have always dreamed of traveling somewhere abroad to tie the knot. If a destination wedding is something that you want or are considering, here are a few suggestions for some amazing locations to get hitched.

The Amalfi Coast, Italy

There are many fantastic places to get married in Italy, so you might find that you are spoilt for choice here. However, the Amalfi Coast is one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Bright blue waters and gorgeous towns scattered across the coast, you can pick between getting married in Sorrento, Amalfi, Ravello, or even on the island of Capri, perhaps? It will certainly be a breathtaking ceremony and reception that people will be talking about for years to come.

Hawaii, USA

Hawaii has been a hugely popular choice when it comes to destination weddings, and every year people from all over the world choose to say ‘I do’ on one of these incredible islands. Why is Hawaii such a great location for a destination wedding? Firstly, the scenery is marvelous, and few places in the world can rival this kind of natural beauty. Secondly, the weather is warm and sunny all year round, which means you’d be pretty unlucky to have miserable weather on your wedding day. There is also a great choice of fantastic resorts where you and your wedding party can stay, a lot of which cater to weddings and can help you make arrangements for your ceremony. This Kona resort is a great example of what you can expect.

Provence, France

A lot of people might think of Paris when considering a French wedding or for their honeymoon, but moving out to the countryside can be more appealing. Whether you choose a rustic French farmhouse for your wedding or a grand chateau to host your guests and exchange vows, it will certainly give your wedding the x-factor. Why Provence? With the backdrop (and divine scent) of all of those sweeping lavender fields around you, there will be a sense of serene romance, and it will make your wedding photos look incredible.

Santorini, Greece

This is another very famous, beautiful spot that many people would love to upload snaps of to their Instagram accounts. With the pretty blue-roofed, whited-walled houses and crystal-clear waters surrounding the island, your wedding will look fresh and stylish in Santorini. It’s also a very romantic setting with good weather, so you and your guests can enjoy the sunshine all day long.

If you are interested in traveling to foreign shores for your wedding, consider the locations listed above and whether or not they would be perfect for your special day.
