From vibrant metropolises to charming coastal towns, this region offers a diverse array of attractions. Join us as we explore five must-visit cities that showcase the charm and allure of the Southeast.

1.Atlanta, Georgia

Despite Georgia being in the top 4 for accidents in the US with some of Atlanta’s highways being named some of the most dangerous roads, the booming and bustling metropolis of Atlanta is a dynamic hub of culture, history, and entertainment known for its rich history and vibrant energy. Known as the “Capital of the South,” Atlanta is a beautiful city you will never regret visiting.

Start your exploration at the historic Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site. Venture to the Georgia Aquarium, where you can marvel at magnificent marine life. Don’t miss the Atlanta Botanical Garden, a serene oasis filled with stunning flora. And, of course, a trip to Atlanta wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the World of Coca-Cola, where you can learn about the history and secrets behind the world’s most famous beverage. For those of you that love to take some time sitting back and relaxing during a vacation could visit the 20th Annual Atlanta Underground Film Festival in August.

2. Charleston, South Carolina

Next on our journey is the enchanting city of Charleston, South Carolina. Step back in time as you stroll through its charming cobblestone streets lined with pastel-colored antebellum houses. Explore the historic district, where you can visit iconic landmarks such as Rainbow Row and the picturesque Waterfront Park. Indulge in delectable Lowcountry cuisine at renowned eateries and experience the rich flavors of the region. To escape the bustling city, take a ferry to explore the pristine beaches and tranquil beauty of nearby islands like Sullivan’s Island or Folly Beach.

3. New Orleans, Louisiana

Prepare to be captivated by the soulful and vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana. Immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of the French Quarter, known for its jazz music, exquisite cuisine, and colorful architecture. Take a leisurely stroll along the iconic Bourbon Street, where you’ll find a plethora of bars, restaurants, and live music venues. Indulge in the city’s culinary delights, from mouthwatering beignets at Café du Monde to savory gumbo and jambalaya at local eateries. If you can’t visit New Orleans now, try to go earlier next year so you don’t miss the chance to experience the unique charm of New Orleans during the festive Mardi Gras season or the lively Jazz Fest.

4. Savannah, Georgia

Nestled along Georgia’s coastline, Savannah exudes Southern charm and elegance. Take a leisurely walk through the city’s picturesque squares, adorned with moss-draped oak trees and historic monuments. Visit the stunning Forsyth Park, where you can relax amidst beautiful gardens and a mesmerizing fountain. Explore the hauntingly beautiful Bonaventure Cemetery, made famous by the novel and movie adaptation of “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.” Delve into Savannah’s rich history by visiting the Owens-Thomas House or the Mercer Williams House Museum. Indulge in southern hospitality by savoring authentic Southern cuisine and traditional dishes like shrimp and grits.

5. Miami, Florida
